Come home to yourself

From there, everything changes

The Life You Built May No Longer Fit the Woman You’re Becoming

There comes a point when the life you’ve built no longer feels fully aligned with the woman you’re becoming. You may appear capable on the outside while quietly feeling exhausted, disconnected, uncertain, or stuck in survival mode underneath it all.

I believe midlife isn’t a crisis—it’s an invitation to reconnect to yourself in a deeper, more grounded way. Because when the nervous system feels safe, clarity returns. And from there, meaningful change becomes possible.

Who I Am

I'm Devon Vernetti, DACM — a Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine, life coach, and midlife reinvention guide. For more than 15 years I've helped women over 40 move through stress, burnout, and major life transitions — and through my own seasons of reinvention, I learned that lasting change doesn't begin with pressure. It begins with coming home to yourself.

I came to this work the way most meaningful things happen — not by plan, but by fire.

I grew up with a severely autistic brother, which meant I understood from childhood that some people's nervous systems experience the world differently — and that the people who love them carry that weight in ways no one sees.

I trained in Chinese medicine because I believed in the body's intelligence. That the patterns of illness and exhaustion weren't random. That the ancient system of Five Elements could map something modern medicine kept missing — the deep connection between what we feel and how we function.

Then life handed me its curriculum.

In six years: a house fire that took everything. My father's pancreatic cancer diagnosis, and the eighteen months of watching someone you love disappear. My mother's care falling to me. My daughter Evelyn developing severe mental and emotional challenges that no one had a clean answer for. Perimenopause arriving in the middle of all of it, quietly dismantling the nervous system I was relying on to hold everyone else up. All of it on one income, with no map.

I didn't fall apart — though there were days I came close. What held me was the framework I'd spent years building: the understanding that the body keeps the score, that grief lives in the lungs, that the kidney meridian governs fear and the will to survive, that regulation comes before transformation. Every time.

The Root to Rise Method™ was born from all of it. The training and the living. The theory and the survival.

I created this method for the woman who is in the middle of everything — menopause, caregiving, grief, a child who needs more than she has, a self she's been postponing — and who is ready to stop white-knuckling through it and start understanding what her body and her life are actually asking of her.

This isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming home to who you already are — with the wisdom of everything you've survived.

“Healing begins the moment we stop forcing and start listening.”

What People Are Saying

“Devon changed my life. I lost my identity being a stay at home and felt shame for wanting some version of me back. I dove into her courses and I feel whole and in charge of my life again.”
